Co.As.It is a not for profit organisation providing services to Brisbane's elderley community, in particular the Italian community. We have found them to be very professional and my mother who is in her seventies, looks forward to her weekly home visits from her personal carer who is patient, kind and very helpful. They offer home cleaning services among many other things and even take members out on social outings which is important to senior citizens who may have lost a loved one or who are experiencing loneliness and isolation due to their individual circumstances. I believe membership is around $15/year.

This review is for The Shingle Inn, Mitchelton QLD

If you remember the good 'ol days of The Shingle Inn in Brisbane City years ago you'll be longing for that nostalgia when you visit one of these new stores that I've noticed popping up recently. Sadly the experience is an altogether different one now and gone are the cosy dark corners of old where it used to feel exclusive and warm. Now you'll be paying $3.90 for a rather shallow cappuccino and about the same again I think for a pink iced tiny patty cake that's really nothing special to be frank. They have a loyalty card (which I won't find of use personally) and they also have a kid's birthday club where they get a free patty cake on their birthday. Friendly service though and they bring your order to your table by way of a numbering system.

Approximate cost: $3.90

I was told about Booko and thought I'd give them a try....ordered 2 books and received them in good condition even though they were 2nd hand copies. Couldn't be happier with their pricing and delivery....will use again for sure!

Just got my first delivery of goodies from this awesome money saving website and I'm very happy indeed! Delivery is $15 so it pays to make a huge order by teaming up with a friend who'll pay half and you can both enjoy the discounted products they have on offer. They have Colgate toothpaste, Imperial Leather body washes, Lady Speedstick Deodorant, socks, air fresheners and loads of other random grocery items. Many things are 2 for $1! Will use this site again in future!

A quaint little gift shop conveniently located close to the school for a morning coffee after the hectic school drop off time. Love how they even cater for pets by having hooks on the side fence to tie your dog's lead to with a complimentary bucket of water! Cute.

Treated my 8yr old daughter to a Build-A-Bear for her birthday recently. The concept is clever and very appealing to kids but thank goodness I had an online voucher to use because these bears and all of their accompanying accessories are not cheap. The naked bears start from $15 then you pay for a soundbyte to be inserted then pay for a costume (or two) to dress the bear in then pay for accessories such as underwear, socks, shoes, hats, handbags, sunglasses etc. Each bear gets its own birth certificate and ID code so that when you get the bear home you can participate in the online Bearville world which is also very clever and perpetuates the personalised bear experience. You could accidentally spend a lot of money here but it's all entirely up to you how much you fork out. They also host birthday parties instore. My daughter LOVES her bear!

This review is for NoNo's Lebanese Food, Red Hill QLD

Good Lord...if you like garlic, you'll love No-No's! This is THE place for awesome authentic take away Lebanese food and its been a secret to Red Hill locals for years. Grab a bag of pita bread and get a few tubs of various dips and side dishes to take home for a banquet! Their baba ghanoush is THE BEST as is their potato salad with lemon and garlic, hommous and they also offer home made sweets such as Turkish Delight and honey syrup flaky baklava. What this little shop lacks in ambience...makes up for in strong flavours!

This review is for Efes One Turkish Restaurant, Albion QLD

When I am craving authentic Turkish food this is my go-to place beyond compare. I've been going to Efes One for many years now and I don't think you can beat it for quantity and quality. Sure, the car park in the rear can be squishy at times but I can overlook that. Ordering the banquet with a group of friends is a fun sharing thing to do and it seems like the dishes just keep on coming. You will get rather full here and leave very satisfied. Efes is always our restaurant of choice when we are celebrating a special occasion.

This review is for Airport Link Tunnel, Kedron QLD

Love love love the brand spanking new tunnel but I won't be so excited to pay for using it when the time comes. I think it could do with a bit more signage on the exits or at least give a bit more warning upon the approach to exits since you can't really see where you are exactly.

This review is for Northside Produce, Bridgeman Downs QLD

I have inherited some chickens so I was told to go to Brisbane Northside Produce to get them a big bag of mixed seed. ($17.50) This place was quite a surprise to me! It's like a mini farm/pet store selling all kinds of stuff for poultry, reptiles, birds and fish, feeds, seeds and garden needs. Next time I will bring my little city kids along to see their miniature goats, horses and piglets. They even had a new litter of border collie pups for sale.
