I came here for a function and wanted to leave a review because it was the best function held at a pub that I've been to. Not just because of the company, but mainly because of the food! We were in the downstairs function room, which had quite a low roof so the loud music was pretty overpowering, but that wasn't the staff's fault! We were served a range of finger food that was so tasty and many of us were impressed. It ranged from pork belly bites to mini beef burgers, with a host of vegetarian options as well. There was also the standard party pies etc which everyone always loves. All in all, it was a really fun evening made even better by great finger food.

I've been here twice, both for dinner before a show. They have a great deal on either 2 or 3 courses if you're going to a show, and they make sure you're out in time to get there! The staff are very friendly and always helpful. The food was excellent the first time I went, and fairly good the second, so I suppose there is some variation in quality (which could have been dependent on the night and the chefs etc). In saying that, I have thoroughly enjoyed my meals, choosing from a tasty menu sticking to classic, tried combinations. My pork belly has been wonderfully rendered, and my steak cooked to a perfect medium rare, as requested. I'd be happy to eat here many times in future.

This review is for Gelato Messina, Fitzroy VIC

Ice cream is becoming a burgeoning industry, with more interesting and exciting flavour combinations popping up. Gelato Messina is no exception, in fact I think they're at the top of the bunch. They have the most deliciously crafted ice creams, with some really tasty, fresh, additions (biscuits, curds, donuts, you name it!) They tend to get a line down the street after dinnertime, but it's worth the wait. I tend to find afternoon tea time is the best time to go. Well worth a visit, they have flavours to suit everyone and it is so. so. yummy.

GP's in this area are often quite expensive. I wanted a gp who i could see for a regular injection I require, who would bulk bill. If you go to OGAM during business hours they'll bulk bill you for your gp consultation. I've seen three of their doctors over the 12 months I've been going there- Dr Gorman, Dr Archarya, and Dr Kennedy, all of whom are really friendly and approachable. I've stuck with Dr Archarya, partly because of his hours, but also because he is so friendly and professional, and I feel confident in his abilities. The receptionists are also very friendly and welcoming and always willing to help. An added bonus is the complimentary herbal tea, the waiting room is the perfect time to relax!

I really like waffles but was disappointed when I went here. They had a really interesting range, unfortunately the waffles themselves were tough and didn't taste fresh, and the berries which came with them were frozen.

Passionflower have a fun range of waffles, crepes, and ice creams which I love going to for dessert. They've varied in quality for me, when it's particularly busy my dishes are hot and taste fresh, however when it's quiet, my crepes have been cold and taste more like store bought pancakes with some nice ice cream. In saying that, I love devouring them and if I know I'm coming here I leave room after dinner! They're a fun place to go with friends for a big (somewhat pricey) pud.

This review is for Shanghai Village Dumpling, Melbourne VIC

I am yet to find a dumpling restaurant I enjoy more than this one. It is always packed, most of the time I have to wait for a table, however once you're in they get you your food ASAP. The dumplings are so fresh and the skins are lovely and thin. They also do other dishes really well, I'm a fan of their salt and pepper calamari, and their sweet pumpkin cakes. This place is cheap and worth travelling to the city for.

These guys don't have a whole lot of competition in Oakleigh but still serve up quick and delicious dumplings. Their dumpling cases are a little thick and when you take away, the steamed dumplings all stick together BUT the flavours of the dumplings are fresh and delicious which I think is the most important thing when going out to get dumplings! The other dishes we have seen go out also look delicious, however we are suckers for dumplings and asian greens with oyster sauce, so can't comment on the taste of everything else! Often lots of people around too, which is always a good sign.

This is my new favourite place to get cakes, pastries, and coffee. Their coffee is amazing, and their cakes are the best in the area. They have a huge range, and are generous in their serving sizes. I love the cannolis, which are filled with a delicious half vanilla, half chocolate creme patissiere. They have a bustling, local vibe, and lots of outside places to sit and watch the world go by. They also have a tasty looking menu throughout the whole day which I have not yet tried but will be!

I've been here a few times and Love their coffee. I'm pretty fussy when it comes to coffee flavour and I'm not sure what beans they use, but they're great! Nikos also have a delicious range of cakes and Greek pastries. Their savoury options look delicious, however I can only vouch for their Calzones. Mine was unfortunately so tough I struggled to get through the dough, though the flavours were really nice. I'm willing to let this go, though, and give them many more shots!
