CouriersPlease is the most unscrupulous, dishonest, unreliable, incompetent courier service I have had the misfortune of dealing with in 21 years. Bought a book of Metro Gold coupons in 2018 and needed to use one of the coupons for an urgent pick-up on 17 June 2021. After struggling for 45 minutes to get through to a call centre to make a booking, I was told that I could not because of an alleged outstanding debt, which is complete nonsense. Wanted to resolve this directly with their accounts department but was told that I had to wait for someone from accounts to contact me within 1-2 days. As it did not happen I contacted customer service again on 21 June, and on 22 June (ticket #: 4318275), and was given the same spiel each time. They therefore took the $149.90 I paid for the coupons but are refusing to provide me with the service I have a right to. They continue to waste my time claiming a debt which they cannot or will not substantiate. Frustrating because I now have to waste even more time trying to get assistance from Consumer Affairs, VIC, and the ACCC. Take note people.

Would give MNSC 0 stars if that was an option. Business owner is incompetent, dishonest, unscrupulous. Had my Toyota Hilux’s battery replaced by Chris Peile on 28 June 2019 and had endless problems with it after that. Constant flat battery, issues with the alarm, issues with the headlamps. Took my ute back to him twice in September as the battery was still under warranty but he denied the problem even though three Roadside Assistance mechanics confirmed the battery needed replacing. I then took it to MyCar Tyre & Auto Service who stated that the incorrect battery had been installed, the battery harness was stretched and damaged, and so were the terminals. Took my Ute to J&F Motors for a second opinion and their mechanic confirmed the issue and referred me to an auto electrician who replaced the faulty, incorrect battery, and corrected the cables. I asked Chris Peile to reimburse me $285.00 for the new battery and the diagnosis but he refuses to pay the money. Will not comply with the Australian Consumer Law to pay me this minimal amount, even though his incompetence cost me hundreds of dollars more than that. Regret getting him to install the battery given my previous experience with MNSC on 9 November 2019 when one of his mechanics stuffed up my ute whilst replacing the alternator and doing minor repairs. Thought at that time that they had no idea what they were doing. In my defense, however, as an elderly person with significant disabilities and no assistance, I went back to MNSC because it was the closest Service Centre to me and I was assured that Chris Peile would install the battery himself, which I thought would be a simple task for a mechanic. Clearly, he’s not up to the job. Now have to take the matter to VCAT for any chance to get my money back, which shows what kind of person this business owner is.

I will never buy on Ebay again. I was guaranteed reimbursement for $45.40 in postage paid to return a damaged item to a seller yet I have been struggling for five months to get Ebay to make good on its guarantee. According to an email from customer service dated 18 April 2018 “Since seller did not process the refund for return postage cost, eBay will cover it for you.” An email from customer service the following day states that a request was sent to Ebay’s Finance team and that it would take 10 to 15 business days for the money to be credited back to my PayPal account. As this did not occur I contacted customer service on 7 May 2018 and again on 22 May 2018 and was informed by representatives on both occasions that my payment was delayed due to a backlog of requests but that my request would be escalated. More than three months later payment still had not been made so I contacted customer service on 27 August 2018 (Ref #: 1-174772192037) and was told by a representative that he would “look into my case”. My request for an email update from him within forty-eight hours was also not forthcoming. Clearly Ebay has no intention of making good on its “guarantee” so I now have to waste more time lodging a complaint with Consumer Affairs Victoria.

I have a 1994 Toyota Hilux and repairs were done in November 2016 for a good price. Had concerns about my gear box a couple of days ago as I was having difficulty getting it into reverse. I asked Robyn if one of the mechanics would be able to check it for me and also asked if they would let me know if a minor service is required. Expecting bad news it was a relief when Ralph informed me that there is nothing wrong with the gear box and he also gave me a tip on what to do if I struggle with the gears. He said that a service is not necessary right now and that I could still wait a couple of months to have that done. It is a relief for an old lady like myself, who is ignorant about motor vehicles, to know that one is dealing with a reputable service centre and with people who are honest in their business practices. Not easy to find these days. Thank you Ralph, Mark, and Robyn.

I posted a job request for pest control on Hipages and was promptly contacted by Arik from Vortex. He spent a considerable amount of time providing me with information about the issue I was experiencing and what needed to be done. I subsequently discovered that the property manager of the unit which I am renting was going to arrange treatment for my unit so did not use Vortex. However, I was impressed with the speed of Arik's response and his thoroughness in explaining the job to be done.
