My Sweetopia takes cakes and coffee and makes it their mission. It is not all sweet with some savoury options, but this is where we go for cake in South Bank.

This great Korean Barbecue restaurant in the city attracts a diverse crowd. So western people who don't quite understand Korean barbecue can choose the selections that suit them, but if you know your korean barbecue you can choose the sides that suit you to do it properly.

From $25 to $30 for an adult, this is a great deal if you want to fill up, and even if you don't, it is still value for money. It is the place to go for barbecue in the city.

Approximate cost: $30

A slightly dissapointed sushi train style Japanese restaurant. They do have meals (all Korean) and bento boxes. We came in here for a quick snack of udon noodles followed by green tea ice cream. The sushi selections are very limited.

The service is good, but a little weird (you order from an iPad mini which they leave on your table).

Basically delicious, nicely decorated, but doesn't quite get it right.

A great place for a cheap Chinese meal. You get meat, vegetables and rice. They also have wonderful Taiwan style noodles. Some great authentic Chinese food, but ultimately nothing special given the location.

This great Asian restaurant covers a wide range of Chinese and Chinese influenced flavours while accommodating the Aussie market. Both Southern and Northern style dishes feature heavily on the menu, and of course there are Singapore influences as well (things like lemon chicken).

The menu comes with lots of photos, which makes it easier to decide what to order.

Of course we had to have the classic sichuan fish dish (you eat around the chilies in the soup, you don't eat the chilies) , the green beans (four seasons beans while I like to call silly beans because I once misread the Chinese name of the beans) and the fried tofu. We were only going for a light meal, so we didn't go crazy.

Nice little barbecue buffet place. It is great value for money and you have a great chance to try a lots of different flavours and side dishes. However the quality is not that great.

This Fish & Chip shop and fish monger is a great place to pick up a nice pack of fish, chips etc, and you can also pick up lots of fresh seafood.

One of my favourite fish & chip places in the area. $12 for fish, chips, salad and a drink is great value for money.

Approximate cost: $13

Despite the eclectic mix of dishes and styles of food, it is easy to come here to find the food you want for now. Lunch can be light and healthy and dinner. Sure a lot of the mains have crazy names, they are still delicious.

While not a great cafe, it is in a great location.

Okay so the location
- On the shores of Lake Enoggera
- Near the designated swimming spot
- Under the gum trees
- Near serveral hiking tracks
- Above a zoo

So the cafe
- the food is bland and boring
- the service is okay

Basically if you are going to Walkabout Creek for a swim, to visit the zoo or go for a hike, then it is ideal, otherwise people never go out of there way to come here.

Nice middle eastern restaurant that covers a range of cuisines from a range of countries, Visiting Mecca is a great experience with great decor and okay service.

This is a place to eat a great range of middle eastern food and drink a few too many cocktails.

The mezze platters are a fantastic way to share a whole range of flavours. Combine these with a few items from the grill and you have a great dining experience.
