Admittedly this place is far better than some of the 'hot box' lunches available in Brendale, but my visit was a little disappointing. I chose the venue because it was very close to my work and I was meeting a friend for lunch there. When I arrived, there were only 2 other people there so definitely not busy, however our meals took over 30mins! I ordered a burger, and my friend had lasagne - neither of which should have taken anywhere near that long. I also asked how long it would take when I ordered, so you would assume they knew there was some urgency. The food was pretty nice and quite reasonably priced so that's definitely a bonus, but I think the service was lacking. Maybe just don't go there if you are intending on a quick bite to eat.

I too have had somewhat disappointing dealings with Moka. I bought a package through a daily deal site and I'm pretty sure they had sold more than they could keep up with. Appointments were really hard to get and if you were more than 10minutes late your appointment was cancelled. I was stuck in terrential rain and bad traffic one afternoon, called Moka to say I'd be slightly late and she was really rude and said I'd lose my appointment (and that part of my package deal) if I wasn't there soon. I had to wait for them at times but they weren't happy to do the same. The staff was not too bad but I just feel this place is rather unprofessional. I won't be buying anything else from them that's for sure.

This is a really nice nursery to just wander around if you have the time. Lots of plants and a quite extensive gift shop. I do think it all seemed pretty expensive though - even the plants. They also have a cafe there but I didn't stop there. Nice spot thought even if you just want to stop in and look around without spending a cent.

I decided to make this the venue for a catch up brekkie with a couple of friends. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. I ordered bacon, eggs and tomato on sour dough toast. They were out of sour dough toast so it was replaced with plain white bread (not the end of the world but not ideal for the same price). I don't actually think the tomato had even been put on the grill, it really looked (and tasted) like a raw tomato that had just been sliced in half. The bacon looked like it had been cooked a while before and was the end of a batch. Disappointing!! It does have a relaxed atmosphere though and they do have free wireless internet which goes well with a cup of coffee I'm sure. Maybe it was just an off day. Might try it again one day - might not too.

This review is for Bovine Restaurant, Red Hill QLD

I recently had a meal at the Bovine Restaurant while they were running a promotion of 50% off all meals. I think the 50% off equated to smaller meals basically. It was alright and what I did get on my plate tasted fine but if I'd paid full price for it I would have been very disappointed. The setting is quite nice - all new inside. Outside is the beer garden type area of the Normanby though so it can get pretty crazy outside. Not a bad option really - maybe I just was unlucky. I'd probably go back for another try.

Very affordable meals and if you go on a Wednesday (i think it is) it is 2 for 1 meals which makes it ridiculously cheap. Lots of items to choose from on the menu. Service is pretty quick and you get a buzzer to tell you when your meal is ready for collection. Inside and outside seating areas and a function area upstairs. Good place for a casual meal with mates.

This review is for Story Bridge Adventure Climb, Kangaroo Point QLD

For 'out of towners' and 'Brisbanites' alike. This is such a great experience to see Brisbane City from a whole different angle. i did the twilight climb and it was just beautiful seeing the city during the day/dusk/night. The whole climb takes about 2.5hrs including safety briefing. Wear closed in shoes and an outfit you can wear under the lovely blue overalls lol. I was a little put off by the customer service from the guy on reception. Pretty sure he was trying to be funny but was coming off really arrogant. But apart from that, everyone else I dealt with there was really nice and the guide was really knowledgeable. You can also abseil from the bridge now. I haven't done that yet but definitely keen to do that sometime. Climb costs vary depending on what time you go, but if you can afford the twilight climb, I'd highly recommend spending the extra bit.

The menu at this place is really quite impressive. I think there is a total of about 25 different schnitzel toppers to choose from - all are mouthwatering and very substantial. They have specials nights so definitely worth checking them out, although standard prices are quite reasonable anyway. Nice and relaxed atmosphere, but can get pretty loud on Thursdays when kids eat free! :)

This is a really great steak place (although they do have many other items on the menu). When you line up, you get to see all the different cuts of meats which really helps make you decision because some are just ridiculously huge! You can also watch your steak being cooked. The prices are pretty standard for restaurant food (approx $25-30 for a main) and the servings are substantial. Nice atmosphere. If you love a good steak, go check this place out!

This is the cheapest parking I've found for Brisbane airport - it is even undercover valet parking which is great. They have a free airport shuttle to drop you off and pick you up. The staff were very helpful and worked quickly to get you on the road. You can get a quote/book online or just give them a call. When I picked up my car after my flight, I was given a discount voucher for a return trip which makes it even more economical! Save some pennies and use them on your holiday, I say! :)
