The Adelaide Central Markets are an experience not to be missed when visiting the state......and is a staple for residents of Adelaide.

There really is something to suit everyone and the quality is exceptional.
From fresh produce, coffee, lunch, dinner, chocolate, nuts, ice-cream, shoes, gifts, organic and health foods etc etc etc

I could go on and on it really has it all.

The atmosphere is amazing! Quite busy Friday nights and Saturday mornings but that adds to it for me (and my family). The rest of the week is quieter and easier to get around.
It is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Open late Friday nights.

Parking is easy, plentiful and cheap.

Excellent lunch at the Lygon Street Cafe!
Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good tables out the front and reasonable prices.

Excellent Iced Coffee (made with real coffee), kids loved their milkshakes which were the perfect size for them and the toasted 'roast vege' lepinja was delicious!!

Will definitely keep it in mind the next time we're in Carlton looking for easy and quick cafe food.

A visit to the aquarium is not to be missed on a trip to Melbourne. Fun and enjoyable for the whole family.
We love exploring all the different sections and it takes us a good few hours to get around.
Pretty pricey but I do feel it's worth it.

Easy to get to from train then tram.
bit of a line up generally to purchase tickets but the penguins make you smile when you finally get in.

Make sure you have heaps of time and I take snacks as it is expensive to eat there.

Some reasonably priced items in the gift shop (which you have to walk through to get out) if you're looking for a momento of your visit.

All in all a great family day out!

Pros; good carparking, a number of pools to suit all needs, large changerooms, great kids pools, pretty open so doesn't get too humid, nice landscaping and good outdoor/lawned area.

Cons; decent walk to change rooms/ toilets, the spa (for adults) over looking the kids pools.

Recently done up but still a little outdated (couple of cracked tiles etc) but pretty decent place and meets the needs of a pool.

An excellent swimming school and centre where my two daughters really excelled.

Personally I wouldn't bother again with the baby classes....for some reaon both my girls hated it and I didn't really see much benefit in it (for the money). We had more fun and success just taking them to the pool ourselves.

With the toddler classes though I can't speak highly of the classes, instructors and lesson structure. Both of my girls did well and loved their weekly swimming lessons.

The fee structure, while expensive like most swimming lessons, is very flexible when you pay monthly. I didn't have any trouble re - scheduling make ups and extra lessons if we missed one through illness.

A great little pool, I think the girls liked it as it wasn't big and overwhelming. It can get a little humid at times and there is not much room for prams etc when busy. (Saturdays/after school times etc).

The change rooms are fine...a little small but ok.

The front desk staff are wonderful and it is a very welcoming environment.

The mini train park/ service is fantastic for everyone!!
Adults and children alike can ride the trains, and as someone who doesn't get all that excited by trains, I really enjoyed it.

It is an absolute bargain at only $3 each and the trip is quite good (around 15minutes).
The volunteers who run the trans are lovely and friendly.

The park is a great place to picnic with plenty of spots to enjoy, there is also a playground, BBQ and toilets.

A great day out!!

Approximate cost: $3

The South Australian Museum is a great 'free' day out and experience for the kids.

In terms of other Museums we've visited, I do feel it is a little outdated in parts but the atmosphere and staff make up for it's short comings.

The last time I went it was better with some new and interesting sections. I would love to see them redo the animals at the front. I don't believe it has changed one bit since I went there as a kid.

Great lawn area out the front for lunch.
I like that the shop is to the side of the entrance so you can avoid it.
Easy to get around with stairs and lifts.
A little bit of a walk from parking but North Terrace is such a great strip to wander along.

This review is for Popeye, Adelaide SA

Excellent Family Fun.
My girls love the Popeye!!
Ok granted it is just an open boat type thing that chugs along the not always pristine River Torrens....but it is fun.

A trip to South Australia is not complete without a trip on the historic state icon!
It is a great part of a city picnic and/ or a great way to travel to or from the Zoo.

Departs daily (weather permitting) and a return trip takes 40 minutes.
A round trip is $12 for adults and $6 for kids.

Pretty Good experience.
Large and beautiful historic grounds
The panda's are great :)
Great range of animals but sadly no elephants.

Pricey but I guess it's expensive to maintain a Zoo!
Street parking is ok but can be tricky at times. Make sure you have coins for the parking machines.

Food and Drink available but I prefer to take my own and enjoy a picnic on the beautiful lawns.
Wide paths make it easy to get around.

A nice family day out experience is to catch the popeye from Elder Park to the Zoo and return. (You don't need to book)

Great Pizza Shop.

Excellent range of pizza's and the gourmet range is particularly good. Good garlic bread. Not had pasta or anything else from their range though so can't comment on these.

Great and pretty fast delivery.
No complaints!
