Mamak Instant Mee Goreng - At last...we hve something as authentic and better mamak food in Melbourne.
The previous Old Town Kopitiam was so-so, and with the new openings of Papa Rich (which was super horrible food) was a let down.
Finally found this new outlet opened in Melbourne CBD, packed with Msian people. Serving is big, a bit pricey for normal Mamak food which you can easily get in Malaysia (can't complain that much).
Try it for yourself and see if it suits your palette.

This review is for Pepper Lunch, Melbourne VIC

It's a cheap, fast & easy outlet for students and workers rushing for time during lunch hour. This restaurant is rather simple and easy to order- following the footsteps from the Japanese chain outlet.

I went for dinner with a friend and ordered the prawn rice bowl, comes in a super hot bowl where the waiter helps you to stir-fry it. It's a rather simple dish and u need to add pepper, soya sauce and chili to make it spicer.
Good place for eat-outs,...i dont mind at all for a Friday night early dinner.

An Italian restaurant sandwiched in between of the Village cinemas and other restaurants in Knox o-Zone.
Prices are still steep, but if you are looking to share an entree pasta and a regular size pizza among friends, it should be adequate for food portion.
Food quality is pretty good, service is great and nice ambient in the restaurant. I've been here 3 times and they even send you a voucher for your birthday if you signed up with them.
How good is that! :D

This review is for Pharmore Pharmacy, Bayswater VIC

This pharmacy branch provides great service and prices. I must say this one opens 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm. It gives great convenience to those who work late or requires something urgently in the evening or at night. Prices were okay for the medicine and the pharmacists will advise if you do require a generic brand. They will advise you on how to take the medication and even ask the history of your illness or situation.
I recommend to those living in this area. It's near to transportation and easy access via bus, train or taxi.

This review is for Donut King, Cheltenham VIC

Love this Donut King at Southland S/C. There are a few shops in this centre. 1 in front of K-Mart, another in front of Woolies and another in front of Big W.
Try the one at K-Mart or Woolies as it's bigger. Donuts were freshly made and the coffee is great with it.

Due to the location and where I've moved further to the East, I only visit Southland Westfield S/C once a while. It's far but the mall is rather big. It has 2 major shopping giants- DJones & Myers. On top of that, they have Big W, Harris Scarfe, Target, Coles, Woolies, Aldi, wet market, banks...etc
Love it!
Beware of the parking signs. Try to park outside or multi level story for all day parking or else you get a fine.

This review is for Ceci Hair Studio, Box Hill VIC

verified email - 11 Dec 2012

I've tried once for this hair saloon to cut and dye my hair. One word- terrible. From the outside, it looks like it's a Korean hair saloon. However inside the hair stylists were all nowhere to the standard. They were not Koreans and they can't speak English properly. The service was poor and their prices are expensive.

A definitely NO NO and not going back again.
There are many better hairdressers in Box Hill to choose from.

This review is for Let Them Eat Cake, South Melbourne VIC

I must say this cake house produces one of the best choc mud cake in Melbourne! Our company tend to purchase cakes for the managers' birthdays or big functions. I was never a fan of rich thick mud cake but their mud cake melts in your mouth, doesn't taste so sweet, tastes like choc fudge to me and it is fantastic!
A bit pricey but worth it to try its cakes. The gluten free cakes are not too bad too. Thumbs up! Besides it's near to the South Melbourne Market.

This review is for Wonton House, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 11 Dec 2012

A few weeks ago, my friend and I decided to try The Wonton House as its famous for varieties of congee (porridge)
I was not in a mood for noodles but decided to also order its Xiao Long Bao (6 in a steam basket)
The congee was no doubt great, smooth and creamy with fish fillets.
The Xiao Long Bao was a bit of a let down. The pasty that wraps the meat was too thick and there was no juice when you bite into it.
Other than that, it was great. Portion was big too.

Tried many different sushi places in the foodcourt. This one is rather interesting as in terms of pricing. The rolls are bigger and not so expensive as Sushi Sushi.
I've once ordered and bought a whole big platter of sushi for my home warming party. It was freshly made on the spot, price was reasonable and location is convenient for those living in the Eastern suburbs or near to Eastlant S/C.
