This review is for Su Life Vegetarian Restaurant, Upper Mount Gravatt QLD

This great Asian vegetarian has Chinese, Japanese and Malaysian influences.

It is just a small little spot with basic furnishings, but a great place for a spicy vegetarian noodle dish.

This review is for Ni Hao Chinese Restaurant, Toowoomba QLD

This reasonably Chinese restaurant with the friendly name (Ni Hao means hello in Chinese) is well worth visiting. Not really that much that is authentic as the menu puts too much emphasis on those things Australians think of as Chinese.

I most recommend this place as somewhere to go for a good feed, especially if you have their "buffet"

With a large gorgeous garden, this is a great place just to pop in for coffee or a snack.

The meals are restaurant prices, though cheaper than what you would pay in a big city, or some of the more pretentious places around. However this place for me is a just a nice place to relax and chill rather than eat.

The reason we went here is that this restaurant is often on the list of the best restaurants in Toowoomba, oh and our friend recommended it as well.

We had a large group and they accommodated some of our weird requests nicely. Most importantly they put on some Turkish music when we requested.

When it came to ordering we ignored their platters and put together our own selections of samplers and dishes that we could share. They were helpful during this process and it all worked out well.

The decor is wonderful and gives a great feel.

I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

This review is for Queen Mary Falls Caravan & Tourist Park, Killarney QLD

Killarney is an attractive area on South East Queensland worth visiting. The best way to visit is to drive via the scenic Spring Creek Road. The place to stay on this road, just outside of Killareny, is the Queen Mary Falls Caravan & Tourist Park.

Accommodation includes powered sites for caravans and camping, unpowered camping sites (the best way to avoid the crowds) and cabins.

We stayed in the better cabin, which includes a spa bath and your own private fire pit out front, but it is more interesting to stay at one of the other spots with a central fire pit so you can hang out with other people.

A really nice place to stay. I like being able to get up early and walk a quick 2 kms around the Queen Mary Falls circuit.

This review is for Top In Town Pure Vegetarian, Upper Mount Gravatt QLD

verified email - 23 May 2016

When I go to Indian restaurants I normally order the vegetables as these are usually the best options on the menu. Top in Town is just Indian vegetarian.

Now be aware there are 2 top in town restaurants in Mt Gravatt and only one is pure vegetarian.

Now to be honest with you, I can easily order better vegetarian food at other Indian restaurants, so there is not that much that stands out here, other than the price.

Basically the best place in that area to go for a cheap Indian vegetarian meal.

This review is for Buffet Gardens, Sunnybank QLD

A very cheap place to go if you want to fill up. They have fresh seafood and lots of Chinese dishes. There are obviously dishes that most people will recognise and some treats, like various types of fish and of course Shanghai style stinky tofu.

But go here if you want to eat a lot for little money.

So obvioulsy they have the sort of food that passes for Chinese food in Brisbane, but they also have other dishes worth seeking out. The crispy noodle dish is not too bad (normally you have to head out into the countryside to find crispy noodles in China), the OX tongue is good if you want to shock a friend, the congee is okay.

Basically it is a really cheap Chinese restaurant, still much cheaper than many other places and well worth visiting.

This review is for Little Singapore Restaurant, Sunnybank QLD

So Singapore Chinese food, which means a combination of Fujian, Cantonese and Malay food with some extra spice in the Chinese food.

The Fujian influence is found in the great fried noodles and the Malay in the not too bad Laksa.

This review is for Brightest Thai, Chermside QLD

verified email - 16 May 2016

This lovely little Thai restaurant near the corner of Hamilton and Gympie Roads has been the spot to order Thai takeaway in Chermside. They also have a couple of tables inside and outside if you want to eat there. However being next to Hamilton Road there is a lot of traffic noise which is made worse by the fact that it is quiet for several minutes, then the lights change and you can't hear each other talk, then it is quiet again.

The food is nice and not expensive. We will see how the new owners go in maintaining the reputation of this place.

Approximate cost: $14
