This elegant little restaurant in Toowong has a great reputation. I went recently with a friend who complained that the quality was not as good as last time.

The menu does promise something different and in many ways it delivers. Maybe it was because we went in the middle of the week (some restaurants have different chefs on week nights and weekends).

Good quality Greek food. Nothing overly special, but a great place fora Greek meal.

Sitting outside is good, but avoid the tables on the main thoroughfare.

The share platters are a little uninspiring but still fills everyone up. If you want something different, order some dishes from the vegetarian menu (the stuffed eggplant is nice)

A cafe restaurant usually implies they will charge restaurant prices but put you in cheap seats. The nook provides a restaurant environment at near cafe prices.

Meals can be things like burgers, but for something more elegant try any of the seafood dishes (yes they are more expensive, but worth it).

Excellent but expensive Japanese food. This is where you go for a great top end Japanese dining experience. You would almost be satisfied just be ordering the food to look at, which the taste a bonus.

They do serve some Japanese street food here as well as Bento boxes, but you really want to focus on the more elegant dishes and of course the sashimi.

So what should you order in this place, the menu can be a bit all over the place, which makes you wonder what they really specialise in.

The food is great, but what I love here are the salads. It is great to find a place that does salads that are a little special. This makes Rocklily a great place for a summer lunch.

The northern suburbs are filled with good Italian and pizza places. This place is nothing fancy, but it does your basic pizzas and pastas really well.

The meals (Chicken or veal served with salad) are a nice option for a meal. Basically everything here is good value for money.

This place advertises itself well. The focus is on those dishes Australians think of as Chinese. But they do it will, and of course the price reflects that.

I would say they are over priced as you can find better and more authentic Chinese food for a lot less money. If you are going here, then focus on the seafood for value.

This nice little Thai restaurant in Buleigh Heads is where you head if you don't feel like going to a cafe or surf club and don't want to splash out on one of expensive restaurants in the area.

Good Thai food, with a variety of flavours. I love the coconut soup and of course anything with tamarind in it.

This place has a menu that is heavy on the sandwiches (melts, wraps, bagels etc), but the salads are excellent. They are very kid friendly too. it is more of a spot for locals than somewhere to seek out.

I tend to judge India restaurants by the quality of their vegetarian options and especially their selection of dhals. With only one dhal on then menu (no indian meal is complete without a dhal on the table) I have to say I am not too impressed.

The tandoori chicken was excellent (I am not a vegetarian, just love Indian vegetable dishes) while the lamb curry that we ordered as a little boring.
