We were on a cruise ship that docked at Sydney. There were some UK people on board and we took them there to sample an old Australian pub. They loved it. It was dark and noisy and very traditional. and the beer was good too.

this is a great little place to call into after having dinner in Lygon Street. Its set right in the middle of the restaurant area so you can still soak up the atmosphere. Their hot chocolate is to die for. If I have to say anything negative it is that it can be a little expensive if you've got the family with you.

We often go to lambs because it is one of our locals. Their souvlakis are great but we find them too big so we often buy one for lunch and share it amongst the two of us. The lady behind the counter is really sweet - I think she is a member of the family - and she always remembers us and gives us a little extra special. I think that is the secret of a good business - good food and good service.

Great little restaurant tucked away in Smith Street Fitzroy. The ambiance is a little dated but the food makes up for it. Their food is tasty without have that msg flavour. As other people testify their peking duck would have to be some of the best in Melbourne. And their cantonese beef is to die for.

This is a great little cafe right in the heart of the 'latte' area of Carlton. The food is great and the service is really good. The staff always have a smile on their faces and a word or two for everyone. Its a great place to sit and watch the world go by.

Went to Lemongrass last night for dinner. Really loved it - its a great little quiet place in busy Lygon Street. The ambiance is really calming and the service is exceptional. The food is lovely - I read some of the other reviews that say it is not 'pure' Thai but I think that is to cater for the Australian palate. We loved the food.

This is a great little treasure. By day its a cafe and at night it turns into a really great intimate Thai Restaurant. The owner, Vince, is a real character and the food is great. Try their baked eggs for breakfast. The coffee is always great as well.

This places is an institution in Melbourne. Their hamburgers are the best - your real old fashioned type of hamburger. Plenty of fresh ingredients and lots of it. We love them. Whenever we head down to our friens place in Middle Park we always make sure we have an Andrews burger.

Its an OK place for a really quick meal on the run. Its not about ambience or fine dining. The food is basic Chinese food but its plentiful and tasty.

Clegs is a great place for fabrics, patterns and all your sewing needs. The staff are really helpful and friendly. It is virtually the last fabric shop in the Melbourne CBD. Great place to buy your sewing needs in your lunch time.
